“By the way, being the first at work is a mortal sin! So be late and keep those clicks going. You only live once, so follow your heart. On your deathbed, you’re not going to think about your days at work but about the things that work stopped you from doing.” - Wise words from my brother-in-law, Thomas, who first revealed the secrets of photography to me.
My love for photography began at the age of 10 during my first trip abroad to the breathtaking Lake Garda in Italy. That journey sparked a lifelong fascination with capturing moments, and since then, I’ve honed my skills alongside professional photographers, both in studios and on location.
Originally from Finland, I’ve had the privilege of living in diverse countries, including France, Italy, Belgium, New Zealand, and Luxembourg. Each of these places has left an imprint on my perspective, shaping the way I see and capture the world. Through my lens, I’ve had the joy of immortalising cherished moments at birthdays, weddings, parties, and events—turning fleeting memories into lasting treasures.
One of my proudest milestones was hosting my first Industrial Photography Exhibition in 2013 at the European Commission’s Art Atrium in Brussels. It was a moment that solidified my passion for storytelling through imagery, especially in spaces and environments that many overlook.
My approach to photography is simple: I aim to capture moments as naturally and discreetly as possible, without disrupting the flow of events. My guiding motto is, “When in doubt, don’t,” a principle that extends to my creative philosophy. Whether I’m behind the camera or making life’s big decisions, I’ve found that trusting my intuition leads to the most authentic and meaningful outcomes.
