Food, that wonderful, wonderful thing that keeps us alive. And a bit more than that.
And wine ! Let's not forget that grape juice either.
Having lived in Italy there's no better food than authentic Italian. Punto. Not open for discussion. On the wine front though, the New Zealand wines are, dare I say, as good, or even better than the Italians.
And Coffee ?
The other essence of life, no doubt about it.
A good Italian espresso is smooth, not too hot and certainly very small. If you can't gulp it down in one go then there's something wrong about it.
Sitting down on a terrace anywhere in the world, with a cup of coffee, and observing the life around you is a fantastic way to absorb the atmosphere of that place.
